Emerging young center-back, Yahaya Dawuni, is brimming with excitement as he fulfills his aspirations by completing his long-awaited transfer to the prestigious Ghanaian powerhouse, Asante Kotoko.
Securing his position with the Porcupines, the sturdy defender has inked a contract that extends until the year 2026.
At the age of 19, Dawuni, hailing from Akim Tafo Susubiribi SC, stands out as one of the most promising talents on the local football scene.
Notably, this rising star, who has also represented the Black Stars ‘B’, becomes the inaugural signing of Prosper Narteh Ogum during his second tenure as head coach of the club.
Expressing his sentiments in an interview with the club’s media, Yahaya conveyed, “I feel so happy to be here. Kotoko is my dream club and I am honoured to be part of this great family, to be able to don the iconic red jersey and also play in front of the loyal supporters at the Baba Yara Stadium”
Dawuni is currently with the club in Beposo as they begin their pre-season for the upcoming season today, August 8, 2023.
