Karela United’s coach, Ibrahim Tanko Shaibu, expressed his concerns following the team’s recent draw with Hearts of Oak.
The club, which recently relocated from Anyinase to Tamale, has had a challenging start to the 2023/24 Ghana Premier League season.
On Saturday afternoon, Karela United hosted Hearts of Oak at the Aliu Mahama Sports Stadium. After a tough match, the two teams ended in a 1-1 draw.
This draw means Karela United hasn’t won any of their last five games.
Speaking after the game, Coach Ibrahim Tanko Shaibu expressed his worry, as his team needed the three points desperately.
“I’m really very worried because we needed the 3 points at all costs to move up from where we are,” Coach Ibrahim Tanko Shaibu said in an interview with StarTimes after the match.
Next up for Karela United is an away game against Accra Lions in Week 10 of the Ghana Premier League, which will be held in Accra.
