”I bow out with pride” – Samuel Inkoom confirms Hearts of Oak departure

Former Black Stars defender, Samuel Inkoom has confirmed his departure from Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak.

The 2009 FIFA U-20 World Cup winner leaves the Phobians ahead of the 2023/2024 Ghana Premier League season.

Samuel Inkoom joined Hearts of Oak in April 2022 on a two-year deal under coach Samuel Boadu but now leaves the club after mutually terminating his contract.

Confirming his departure in a social media post, Samuel Inkoom thanked the Hearts of Oak hierarchy partially Board Chairman Togbe Afede XIV and the entire fanbase for giving him the opportunity.

“I bow out of the Phobia family with pride and fulfillment, thanks to  Torgbe Afede XIV and the Amazing family. Phooobia! Masters.👏🏾💪🏽 ⁦@HeartsOfOakGH,” Samuel Inkoom posted on his social media pages cited by new.sportsworldghana.com.

Samuel Inkoom in the past also played for Hearts of Oak’s rivals Asante Kotoko before leaving to join FC Basel in the summer of 2009.

At Hearts of Oak, Inkoom made 31 appearances, scored a goal, and won the 2023 President’s Cup against his former club Asante Kotoko.
