Emmanuel Newton Dasoberi, the Administrative Manager of Asante Kotoko has made bold claims regarding his contributions to the success of the club’s former CEO, Nana Yaw Amponsah.
In a candid interview with Kessben FM on Wednesday, Dasoberi asserted that he played a significant role in Nana Yaw Amponsah’s achievements during his tenure at the helm of Kotoko.
As the administrative manager, Dasoberi had been a pivotal figure behind the scenes, handling various aspects of the club’s operations and administration.
According to Dasoberi, his efforts were instrumental in ensuring the smooth functioning of the club during Nana Yaw Amponsah’s tenure, contributing significantly to the successful execution of key initiatives and projects.
“If I will not brag, I contributed not less than 60% to his (Nana Yaw Amponsah) success (at Kotoko). Did you ever hear that the club has had a problem administratively?,” he quizzed.
“No, it never happened so if you don’t have stability in running the team administratively, how can you go out there to be looking for sponsors and all those things? You need stability. There are so many things I did behind the scenes and you know personally, I love to live a quiet life, I can’t come out to say I did this, I did that, I had no qualms with Nana Yaw,” he added.
He cited examples of his involvement in player recruitment, contract negotiations, and day-to-day administrative tasks that he believes played a crucial role in Kotoko’s progress under Amponsah’s leadership.
