Black Stars midfielder Abdul Salis Samed says he is not a player who plays with pressure because he just wants to enjoy his football.
The midfielder played his first competitive game for the Black Stars during the 2022 World Cup opener against Portugal on Thursday, November 24.
Samed started alongside Thomas Partey and Mohammed Kudus in the middle of the park and played 89 minutes during the encounter as Ghana succumbed to a 3-2 defeat.
Speaking to the GFA Media team after the game, the 22-year-old revealed he had no pressure on him prior to the game.
“I am someone I don’t play with pressure or care about pressure. It’s not as I don’t but I just play my football, no pressure, even if it’s [Cristiano] Ronaldo,” he said.
“I always try to prove myself and do better than what I did in the last game. So I play without pressure and I’ve played in stadiums like this before with supporters more than these that you can’t even hear anything.”
The player will be looking to play better when Ghana face South Korea in their next game on Monday.
