Thomas Partey is a Grade A central midfielder who understands his role extremely well. Blessed with many traits that will help one to be considered an ultra-modern midfielder, Thomas Partey’s short and long passes are evidence that he spent 8 years in Spain, the passing capital of world football. Partey’s vision, ball control and shot power make him a bonafide midfielder.
In an interview with Arsenal TV, the Odumase Krobo native revealed how it all started as a kid in football.
“For me, I grew up with my father playing football,” Partey revealed, “so I always had a football around the home when I was young. The 30-year-old Ghanaian midfielder disclosed his father’s influence in him developing a huge interest in football.
“It was the same at school with my friends there, everywhere we went I just wanted to play football. Then when I joined my first side at the age of nine, it was my life from then on. Every day I was playing football, we didn’t have any other sports, we did always play football,” added Thomas Partey.
Thomas Partey joined Arsenal in 2020 from Atletico Madrid in Spain in a deal worth 50 million Euros.
Thomas Partey is expected to play a key role in Arsenal’s quest to win their first league title in two decades and first-ever UEFA Champions League title after battling injuries for most of the season.
