Ajax Amsterdam midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, has admitted that he has not been lucky with injuries following his latest recovery from a rib injury which sidelined him for nearly three months.
The 21-year-old attacking sensation suffered sustained the injury while on international duty with the Black Stars in November during the 2022 World Cup qualifiers against the Bafana Bafana of South Africa.
However, the former FC Nordsjaelland star was back on the pitch in Ajax’s 5-0 win over FC Twente.
Speaking to Ajax’s media team, the Ghanaian attributed his injury crises to being “unlucky”.
“With the injuries, they are not injuries which happened because I was not training well or taking care of myself. I was just unlucky and things like that,” he said.
“I trust in God and I also try to control things I can, leave what I cannot to God. I try my best to stay fit,” he added.
Mohammed Kudus will be hoping to make a start when Erik ten Hag’s men face Willem II in the Eredivisie on 19th Saturday February, 2022.
