Ghana midfielder Emmanuel Agyemang Badu says he hasn’t quit the Black Stars yet ahead of the Qatar 2022 FIFA World Cup Qualifiers against Nigeria.
The box-to-box midfielder who was a kingpin for Ghana between 2010 and 2017 says he’s still interested in donning the Ghana Black Stars jersey again.
According to him, he is clubless for now which means he has to put Black Stars call-up on hold till he gets a new team.
“I haven’t quit the Black Stars yet. I didn’t have a team so I needed to get a team first”, he told Oyerepa FM.
“What I said was that I am concentrating on club side so If I get a new club and the technical team feels they need me why not I will be ready,” he added.
He played in two finals for Ghana against Egypt in 2010 in Angola and 2015 in a painful defeat to Ivory Coast on penalties.
He won the CAF Youth Championship and the FIFA U20 World Cup with the Black Satellites.
