Ghana international, Antoine Semenyo, says he is looking forward to showing what he is capable of doing to the world when the Black Stars take on Brazil on Friday, September 23.
The Bristol City forward has struggled with fitness difficulties over his last several calls ups, thus he has yet to really establish himself in a Ghana jersey.
The forward was in line to make his debut for Ghana during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations but pulled out of the squad due to injury. However, he went on to feature in the game against Madagascar in a 2023 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying match in Cape Coast.
Speaking ahead of the friendly game against the five-time world champions, Semenyo said, “I just want to show at the world stage what I can do: I can score, I can link play, I can run it behind if I need to and like I said, I’m ready.”
“I’m happy obviously being with the team again. I hope that when I get the chance to play, I will score and make the country proud, so I’m just waiting for my opportunity again.
“Everyone is in good spirit, it’s a healthy competition; everyone is fighting for their spot. If you get that number 1 spot, you wanna take it so that’s what I’m fighting for,” he added.
The game will kick off at 6:30 PM on Friday.
