The president of the Ghana Football Association, Mr. Kurt Okraku has visited the assaulted referee Sakina Nasara to offer her support.
Kurt Okraku assured her that both the GFA and the Ghana Police Service are committed to ensuring justice is served in the case.
The referee was assaulted by Iddrisu Napara, head coach of lower-tier side Tiyumba Ladies FC, who’s currently in custody after pleading guilty to the offence.
“I know the Regional Football Association has been very supportive since the incident, but I also made a stopover to offer you physical support,” Okraku stated. “Together with the Ghana Police Service, we will ensure justice for you.”
The FA Boss promised to support the referee and also see to it that such acts in the Ghana Football will be eradicated as soon as possible.
