Black Galaxies head coach Annor Walker says the decision to recall Seidu Suraj to the team’s camp is because they still need his services.
The player was initially omitted from the travelling squad to Egypt for camping after Hearts of Oak wrote to the Ghana Football Association to exempt him.
However, Walker has been forced to recall the player back into the team after a series of games in Egypt, where the team has been continuing their preparations for the 2023 CHAN tournament.
“Suraj was one of my key players who helped in qualifying the team [to the CHAN tournament] but unfortunately Hearts wrote to the FA that they needed two of their players, that fell on Suraj and Caleb Amankwah,” he said.
“So I had to send Suraj out off the list so he could join the Hearts team. But later, I realised I still need him so I told management and they spoke to Hearts and the club had to release him for us.”
The midfielder joined his teammates over the weekend alongside Maxwell Arthur who was also called after Kasim Razak suffered illness.
