Ghana international Mohammed Kudus believes he has yet to reach his full potential at West Ham United despite making a strong impression during his debut season with the club.
The 24-year-old midfielder has quickly become a key player for the Hammers, scoring eight goals and providing six assists in the Premier League, as well as five goals in the Europa League. His impressive form has also earned him the Player of the Year award at the 2024 Ghana Football Awards.
In an interview, Kudus revealed that he is far from satisfied with his current level of performance and is looking forward to doing more for his club and country.
“Personally, before I even took the step I knew I was ready for the challenge that’s why I went for it, and once I was ready I knew what I expected from myself. Big ups to all the teammates and the people around my club, they really helped me to settle”
He credited his teammates and the people around him for helping him settle in at West Ham, but acknowledged that he still has a lot to offer.
“I put in the effort day in day out. It’s a difficult league, tough games, but I still believe that I’m far from my abilities,” Kudus said. “It’s just the beginning, and it was good to announce myself in the first season. I know it’s going to get much tougher now, and I’m prepared for it.”
Kudus’ impressive performances have also caught the attention of several clubs, with rumors of interest from other teams. However, it seems that he is focused on continuing to develop his skills and reach his full potential at West Ham United.
