GFA President Kurt Okraku had words of praise for Annor Walker for helping the Black Galaxies secure qualification to the African Nations Championship.
In the first leg, Ghana won 2-0 thanks to goals from Daniel Afriyie Barnieh and Suraj Seidu but in the second leg, Nigeria also won 2-0 in Abuja.
The game went straight to penalties and Ghana clinched a 5-4 victory over Super Eagles B, sealing qualification to the African Nations Championship tournament for the first time since 2014.
“I want to thank coach Annor Walker for this achievement. I remember the day we gave him this job I promised him he has the confidence of the FA. Today he and his assistants have vindicated us for the confidence we had in them,” Okraku stated.
The Black Galaxies have retuned to Ghana following the result.
