Black Queens are down by a lone goal in the first leg of the Paris 2024 Olympics Games qualifiers against the Copper Queens of Zambia after losing 1-0 on Friday.
Nora Huptle, the coach of Black Queens speaking ahead of the second leg in Zambia has bemoaned Ghana’s inability to get good results in Accra.
“Unfortunately we couldn’t deliver or succeed against Zambia in the first leg, but we have the second leg against Zambia,” said the 40-year-old Swiss tactician.
She revealed that an early goal for Black Queens can unsettle Zambia on Wednesday.
“I think when we put one goal in, it will explode down there and then we back in April for the fourth round against Morocco and then I hope that the stadium [Accra Sports Stadium] here is cooking and we can get a sold-out stadium,” added Nora Huptle.
The head coach is optimistic about securing a place in the next stage of the qualifiers as she even dreams of a sold-out stadium in Accra against the likeliest opponents in Morocco.
Zambia will welcome Ghana on Wednesday at the Levy Nwanawasa Sports Stadium at 4 pm in Ndola.
