English Premier League most successful club Manchester United FC legend Rio Ferdinand has admitted that he wanted the Red Devils to sign the Ghana midfielder.
Ferdinand showered praises on the Ghanaian star describing him as a genuinely top player after exploding this season.
According to him, during Partey’s days at Spanish La Liga team Atletico Madrid, he was advocating for Manchester United to go for the signature of the player.
Ferdinand made the comments during an appearance on the Vibe with FIVE podcast, saying, “I rate Partey.”
“I’ve done clips that before he went to Arsenal, I was saying Manchester United should buy Partey. I genuinely believe he is a top player.”, he said.
Partey has been the pivot for the Ghana’s this season as they continue to fight for the Premier League title this season.
