Asante Kotoko winger Adam Inusah has pledged to improve his goal-scoring record in the Ghana Premier League following a standout performance in the Porcupine Warriors’ 1-0 victory over Dreams FC at the Baba Yara Stadium last weekend.
The 24-year-old was awarded Man-of-the-Match for his superlative display, helping Kotoko end a four-match winless streak.
“It’s not easy to go four matches without a win, so we planned to beat Dreams FC at all costs to appease the fans because it is not easy to play four matches without a win. We are happy,” Inusah said.
Despite his strong performance, Inusah has yet to score in the league this season, having played nine matches without finding the net. The former West Africa Football Academy and Kotoku Royals forward promised fans he would soon change that.
“The fans should expect more from us. I want to assure them that I will soon start scoring the goals,” he added.
The victory propelled Asante Kotoko to third place in the league table with 24 points, level with rivals Hearts of Oak after 14 matches. Kotoko will face bottom-placed Eleven Wonders away in Week 15 on Wednesday, December 24, aiming to continue their winning momentum.
