Ibrahim Osman has captured attention in the Netherlands after scoring a stunning goal, marking his first of 2025 in style.

The Ghanaian winger came off the bench to find the net in the final minute, sealing Feyenoord’s 4-1 victory over Groningen on Wednesday evening. However, it was his celebration that sparked discussions after the match.

Osman celebrated by making a “silence the critics” gesture, which became a major talking point following Feyenoord’s win. Reports suggested that the gesture may have been directed at his manager, Robin van Persie, who responded with amusement.

“Was it for me?” Van Persie laughed when asked about it during the post-match press conference.

The former Arsenal and Manchester United striker further stated that he plans to discuss the celebration with Osman.

“I’m going to talk to him. Hopefully, it wasn’t for me,” Van Persie added.

Osman is currently on loan at Feyenoord from Premier League club Brighton & Hove Albion. The Right to Dream Academy graduate has now scored four goals across all competitions for the Dutch side.
