Former Black Stars legend Ibrahim Sunday has offered high praise for Hearts of Oak head coach Aboubakar Ouattara, commending both his character and coaching skills.
The former African Player of the Year revealed his personal connection with Ouattara, recounting their long-standing friendship and the coach’s decision to seek his guidance upon joining Hearts of Oak.
“I was with Aboubakar Ouattara in Ivory Coast. He called me when he was coming to Ghana to coach Hearts of Oak. He’s a good person and a good coach,” Sunday shared during an interview with Asempa FM.
Expressing confidence in Ouattara’s abilities, Sunday voiced hope for his success at the club. “I hope that he gets things right and starts winning a lot of games for Hearts of Oak,” he added.
Sunday’s endorsement carries weight, given his status as one of Ghana’s most revered football figures.
Hearts of Oak will face a crucial challenge in their next Ghana Premier League fixture, where they are set to clash with their fierce rivals, Asante Kotoko.
