King Faisal FC owner, Alhaji Karim Grusah says Southampton defender Mohammed Salisu questioned him after persuading him to play for Ghana at the international level.
According to the astute football administrator, the young defender asked him if he would have advised him to play for Ghana if he was his son.
The center-back has consistently rejected Black Stars call-up stating he’s not ready to play for the four-time AFCON champions.
Alhaji Grusah, who claimed to have been tasked to convince the former Real Valladolid player to have a change of mind and represent had this to tell him.
“The Black Stars Chairman tasked me to speak to Salisu cos he’s from Kumasi. I called his dad & he linked me to him. Salisu flatly told me to stay away from his matter. He questioned me that if he was my son, would I advise him to play for Ghana?”.
Alhaji Grunsah speaking on Atinka FM said: “I’m not the only person who has spoken to him. I know CK Akonnor went to him, he said he won’t play. Even the Ghana FA President said he found where his mother stays and went to her. I don’t know what happened but the Salisu is not ready to play”, he added.
