Former Ghana international Samuel Inkoom has thrown his support behind Antoine Semenyo, saying that if the hit‑form forward maintains his level of performance, the Ghana national football team can make a strong push to the 2026 FIFA World Cup final.
Inkoom, speaking in an interview on Connect FM, pointed to Semenyo’s recent form and influence as a catalyst for Ghana’s attack. He believes the Manchester City forward’s consistency will be crucial if the Black Stars are to go deep in the tournament.
“If Semenyo stays consistent, Ghana can make it to the finals of the 2026 World Cup,” Inkoom said.
Semenyo, who has been a standout performer in club football this season, has also expressed confidence in Ghana’s ability to compete with the world’s best at the Mundial.
Ghana, preparing for their fifth World Cup appearance, will face Panama, England, and Croatia in Group L as they aim to improve on past campaigns and possibly make history at the 2026 tournament.
