Ghana and West Ham United forward Mohammed Kudus has reaffirmed his commitment to his trademark dribbling and expressive playing style, insisting he won’t compromise his identity on the pitch—regardless of external pressures.

The 24-year-old has emerged as one of the Premier League’s most exciting dribblers, dazzling fans with his graceful movement and ability to glide past defenders in tight spaces. By the end of 2024, Kudus had completed more take-ons (127) than any other player across Europe’s top five leagues.

Currently, he ranks among the Premier League’s top five dribblers and sits in the top 10 for most take-ons across Europe’s elite divisions.

Kudus has previously cited Thiago Alcantara as a key influence, praising the Spaniard’s elegance and composure on the ball. Speaking to UK-based Ghanaian rapper Gunva B in an interview for Premier League Productions, the former Ajax star emphasized his dedication to entertaining football.

“We are all different, and we all have our impact in the world, so there’s not a single day I’ll ever change my style of play for any coach, anybody, whatsoever,” Kudus said.

“I think me expressing myself on the pitch, playing how I play, is just who I am—and that will never change.”

“At the end of the day, be the boy from Nima living his dream, and maybe people can find inspiration through that by being myself,” he added.

Despite a brilliant debut season, Kudus has endured a more challenging campaign in 2024/25, scoring five goals so far. West Ham remain in a precarious position, sitting just above the relegation zone with a few matches left to play.
