Ex-Ghana Premier League star midfielder Eric Nyarko is pleading with fans of his former club Accra Hearts of Oak SC to bring back the love for the club.
The CAF Confederation Cup winner with the Phobians is asking the fans to to support the team like in the past as they did during his days with the capital club.
According to him, the fans gave them utmost support in difficult games and were cheered by the fans even when they are losing the match but things has changed this time around.
“The love they (the fans) had for us has gone down. In my playing days, even when we were losing a game, the fans cheered us on to turn the game around.”
“But nowadays, when I go and watch Hearts of Oak matches, all I hear are insults when we are losing. I am begging the fans to bring back that love to the current players in difficult times,” he said.
He was one of the most loved players by the fans in his time and dazzled for the team anytime on the field wearing the famous rainbow colours.
He later joined newly crowned Ghana Premier League champions Medeama SC and won the MTN FA Cup trophy with the club.
