Serbian club FK Zelezničar Pančevo, have completed the signing of Ghanaian striker Sumail Wasiu, from Belgian outfit FC Lokeren in the ongoing winter transfer window.
Having completed the move on a two-and-a-half-year contract, Wasiu says he’s ready to help the club excel in their respective competitions with his great attacking threat..
Wasiu will strengthen the competition in the attack of the Railwaymen, where his compatriot Kwaku Karikari was undisputed for most of the fall season.
The pacy forward started the season in Lokeren, where he scored two goals in 14 games for that club. He was previously a member of Spain’s San Pedro, and took his first football steps at Right to Dream, a well-known football academy in Ghana.
“I like how my teammates and coaching staff welcomed me. First impressions are good and I’m glad to be here” – He stated and pointed out that he has speed, strength and sense of goal.
“I spoke with the coach, he told me what his plans were and gave me the details. What I heard suits me perfectly and that’s why I came to Železničar. I think it’s the best decision for me.”
“I am here to use my qualities to help the team achieve the best possible results. I can’t wait to run out onto the field in front of our fans.” He councluded.
