Ghanaian international Jordan Ayew has expressed his happiness after finalizing his move to Leicester City.
The seasoned forward signed a two-year contract with the English Premier League club on Friday, August 23.
“Leicester City Football Club is pleased to announce the signing of experienced striker Jordan Ayew from Crystal Palace on a two-year deal, subject to FA and Premier League approval,” the club announced.
In his first interview following the move, Ayew shared his pride and excitement about joining Leicester City.
Despite being 32, he is eager to continue learning and developing as a player with his new team.
“I’m very happy to be here and I’m proud. I want to thank the Club as they fought hard to bring me here – it happened quickly and I’m so happy to be here.
“As a player, when you hear that the manager wants you, it just makes you want to come and work under him and to try to improve. Even though I’m 32, as a player you always want to learn and improve. I’m here to work hard and help the team achieve their targets,” Jordan Ayew said, as quoted on Leicester City’s official website.
