Goalkeeper Benjamin Asare has announced his availability to join any team ahead of the new season, despite being a top transfer target for several clubs including Asante Kotoko and Hearts of Oak.
The Golden Glove winner’s impressive performance for Great Olympics last season has made him a hot commodity in the transfer market.
Asare, who was a standout for the Dade boys despite their relegation to the lower-tier, is now hoping to continue his career in the top division after Great Olympics’ demotion.
In an interview with Wontumi FM, Asare expressed his readiness to join any team that comes his way. “I’m ready to join any team because that’s the job I do to survive. At the moment, I have not signed for a team. I had a good season, I’m confident I will get a team to join,” he said.
Meanwhile, Asante Kotoko are reportedly advancing talks with Asare to secure his signature for the new season.
The Porcupine Warriors are keen on strengthening their goalkeeping department and Asare’s impressive credentials could make him an attractive addition to their squad.
