Abdul Karim Zito, the coach of Dreams FC, has highlighted his tactical expertise following his team’s victory over Aduana Stars, handing them their first home defeat of the season.
In Week 32 of the Ghana Premier League, Dreams FC traveled to Dormaa and emerged victorious against the two-time league champions.
A solitary goal by Ali Huzaif in the 60th minute secured all three points for the visitors at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park on Saturday, denting Aduana Stars’ hopes of clinching the league title this season.
After the match, Zito praised his tactical acumen and expressed confidence in his team’s ability to avoid relegation.
“I observed their weaknesses when they played against Accra Lions, so that became part of our training session for the day. I told my players to start strong and go for what we wanted,” Zito told StarTimes.
“I know many journalists have written off Dreams FC, forgetting that I am the man who saves teams from relegation. My team was facing relegation, and you said I would go down. No, no. I told you, no,” Zito added.
“…I told you don’t joke with Zito,” he added.
The victory has lifted Dreams FC to a relatively safe position, currently sitting in 9th place with 44 points in the league standings.
