In-form Ghanaian attacker Yaw Yeboah named in MLS team of the week

Following his impressive performance on matchday 22, Ghanaian midfielder Yaw Yeboah has earned a spot in the Major League Soccer Team of the Week.

The 26-year-old showcased his brilliance by scoring the winning goal as Columbus Crew secured a 2-1 victory over the New York Red Bulls on Saturday.

Yeboah, playing as a left wing-back, played a vital role in the team’s success, contributing to their fifth win in their last six games.

Joining the Ghana international in the team are notable players such as World Cup winner Thiago Almada from Atlanta United and his teammate Brooks Lennon.

Completing the lineup are Austin FC goalkeeper Brad Stuver, St Louis FC centre-back Tim Parker, Dominique Badji from FC Cincinnati leading the attack, Bongokuhnle Hlongwane from Minnesota United, Facundo Torres from Orlando City, Gadi Kandi from Sporting Kansas City, and Emmanuel Reynoso.

Yeboah has been in excellent form throughout the season for Columbus Crew, and his latest goal marked his second of the campaign.
