Former Black Stars forward Yaw Preko has likened Ghana’s new striker Inaki Williams to legend Asamoah Gyan after the Spain-based striker’s debut.
The Accra Great Olympics FC head coach believes the Athletic Bilbao forward has the same traits as Ghana’s all time top scorer.
“We should make good use of Williams and benefit more from him, he’s like Asamoah Gyan”, former Ghana star Yaw Preko told Angel TV.
Williams received commendation from the former Ghana star as he believes the player has what it takes to send Ghana to the next level.
Williams played 45 minutes against World’s best national team Brazil when Ghana lost 3-0 last Friday night in France at the Stade Oceane in Le Havre.
He got his first Ghana start last Tuesday evening against minnows Nicaragua in Spain as Ghana beat the opponent 1-0.
He’s expected to lead Ghana to the 2022 FIFA World Cup tournament in Qatar later this year following his impressive showings on his first Ghana call-up.
