Black Stars striker, Inaki Williams has announced his possible next destination after leaving boyhood Athletic Bilbao.
Inaki Williams has been a one club man since making his senior debut and has been with his boyhood club Athletic Bilbao from 2014 till date.
However, the Ghanian striker after 9 years has spoken about his next destination after Bilbao but he won’t play for an European club.
Inaki Williams said he would love to join Barcelona legend Lionel Messi who is currently playing for Inter Miami in the Major League Soccer in the United States.
“I believe he’s the best on the edge of history. There’s little to say about him,” Williams said. “In the end, the anticipation he has created, that foundation of his, his legacy. I believe that in the end, we have all enjoyed him a lot, and now it’s his turn to enjoy in the United States.”
“It is true that I am playing very well in Bilbao, but I would like to come here one day, maybe when I’m no longer so useful in Bilbao, to finish my career in the United States because it’s a place I’d like to live for a year or two, and hopefully, I can make my mark and maybe even coincide with Leo again,” he said.
The MLS has attracted a number of high-profile players in recent years, including David Beckham, Zlatan Ibrahimovic, Thierry Henry, Lionel Messi and Inaki Williams wants to add his name to the list in the near future.
