Black Stars forward Inaki Williams scored a brace for Athletic Club on Friday night in their La Liga win over Getafe.
Inaki scored all two goals for Ernesto Valverde’s side as they picked up all three points on the road.
The Ghanaian put his side in the lead after 27 minutes after a good delivery from his brother Nico Williams, opening the scoring in the game.
The Basque club held on to the lead and fended off competition from the home side to go into the break.
Six minutes after returning from recess, Inaki scored again to double the lead. Nico once again was the provider for his elder brother’s second goal.
Athletic were reduced to 10 men after Yeray Alvarez had been shown a straight red card for a professional handball.
The away side also received another red card with Aitor Paredes receiving two red cards in seven minutes before his marching off orders.
Getafe had an opportunity to give the game a dramatic finish but his effort from the penalty spot was saved by the goalkeeper keeping the score at 0-2.
Inaki’s brace means he has netted 11 goals this season in 31 games with three assists also to his name.
