With barely a week to the anticipated By-election in Ejisu, football fans are pondering if the former skipper of the Black Stars Asamoah Gyan will join the campaign train of Kwesi Nyantakyi.

Kwesi Nyantakyi picked forms for the vacant seat and has already declared his readiness for the seat. With only five days left for campaigning, many would have thought the cordial relationship between Asamoah Gyan and Kwesi Nyantakyi will have ended in an official endorsement for the former FIFA executive council member.

Asamoah Gyan is a strong admirer of the ex-FA boss and defended him during his torrid time with Anas Aremeyaw expose” I have worked with Kwesi Nyantakyi for several years and I know the kind of person am talking about. He rose the highest level of World football…but we used less than 48 hours to bring him down” Gyan said on Joy FM during the number 12 expose.

Kwesi Nyantakyi has already compared his competence for the impending task of leading the people of Ejisu to Portuguese Superstar Cristano Ronaldo

“You need to bring someone who will bring development to the constituency, like in a football match when Lionel Messi is your best player and his leg is broken and you need to substitute him, you bring in Cristiano Ronaldo to replace Messi, in this case am the Ronaldo”. Further asked by the host of the show if he was Ejisu Ronaldo, he replied in the affirmative “yes that’s the truth” Nyantakyi said during an interview.

The former FIFA executive council member has been tipped by many to win the By-election due to his immense contribution to the constituency particular to the youth over the years. The election is slated for Saturday 13th April 2024.
