AFC Bournemouth head coach Andoni Iraola has admitted that Antoine Semenyo’s future at the club remains uncertain, hinting that the winger’s upcoming Premier League clash against Tottenham Hotspur could be his last appearance for the Cherries.

Speaking ahead of Wednesday’s fixture, Iraola did little to play down the growing transfer speculation, with Manchester City strongly linked to the 25-year-old Ghana international.

The former champions are reportedly in advanced talks with Bournemouth and are prepared to activate Semenyo’s £65 million release clause before the January 10 deadline.

“I don’t know what’s going to happen tomorrow or the next two, three days… but I think it could be the last game. That’s my personal opinion, but there is nothing agreed and nothing signed,” Iraola said, underlining the fluid nature of the situation.

“He is one of the best I’ve coached” – Iraola pays glowing tribute Semenyo as he nears Bournemouth exit

Semenyo has been one of Bournemouth’s standout performers this season, drawing widespread attention with his pace, power and consistency in the final third.

His form has not only caught the eye of Manchester City but has also attracted interest from several other top Premier League clubs.

Iraola acknowledged that the uncertainty surrounding Semenyo has dominated discussions ahead of the Spurs encounter.

He revealed that he sought internal clarity before facing the media, aware of how quickly transfer developments can unfold at this stage of the window.

For now, Bournemouth remain focused on the task at hand, but all eyes will be on Semenyo as speculation continues to swirl around what could be a defining moment in his career.
