Ghanaian footballer Malachi Boateng, has expressed excitement after switching cam to Scottish side Dundee United.
Boateng’s loan deal with Dundee United will extend until June 2024, granting him a full season to showcase his talent in Scotland. This marks his second consecutive loan spell in the country, following a successful stint at Queens Park last season.
During his time with Queens Park, Boateng demonstrated his prowess on the field, impressively making 41 appearances and scoring three goals.
Now, as he joins Dundee United, the young midfielder is expected to play a vital role in their upcoming campaign.
“It feels really good to join the club and I can’t wait to get started. I heard about the club’s interest a few weeks ago, I spoke with the manager on Zoom and he was quite clear that he wanted me on board and I’m now happy to be here”
“I saw the club last season, saw the players that are here and that did push me towards signing for Dundee. From my experience last season playing against Dundee, I could see that it is a club with good players and great fans” he said.
Boateng initially joined Crystal Palace as a youth player at the age of 11 and later signed his first professional contract with the club in October 2019. He earned the U18 Player of the Season award in the preceding season, showcasing his immense potential.
He won the Crystal Palace U18 and U23 player of the season awards.
