Ghana goalkeeper, Razak Brimah, says he hopes to be able to win a trophy with the Black Stars before calling time on his career.
The goalkeeper for Linares Deportivo last competed for the national team at the Gabon-hosted 2017 Africa Cup of Nations competition.
In the AFCON final, in which Ghana lost 11-10 on penalties to Ivory Coast, losing a chance at a fifth AFCON title, Brimah was in goal for the Black Stars against Cote d’Ivoire.
He believes that his club-level accomplishments should entitle him to a spot in the squad for the forthcoming AFCON qualifiers and the World Cup.
“I am surprised that I haven’t been getting the Black Stars call-up because I believe I am doing well and people can testify to it”, he said in an interview.
“I have an unfinished business with the Black Stars because it is my dream to help the team win a trophy.”
Brimah was selected for the Segunda B Team of the Year and chosen as the Segunda B League’s Best Goalkeeper for the 2020–21 season.
