Former Obuasi Ashantigold SC attacker Yaw Annor has revealed his decision to ditch Ghana Togo senior national team.
The former Ghana Premier League top scorer says his decision to play for Togo was a decision taken by himself and his family.
He went ahead to reveal that he’s not a full Ghanaian as he’s half Ghanaian and half Togolese which allows him to play for Ghana’s neighbors.
Togolese international, Yaw Annor on nationality switch: “It was a family decision that led me to play for the Togo national team. I’m half Togolese, half Ghanaian.
“I made the correct decision because I’m likely to get enough playing time with Togo. I’m yet to receive any prize for winning last season’s Goal King.” He told Sikka FM.
He scored 22 goals in the 2021-22 Ghana Premier League season and won the golden boot award.
