Aduana Stars winger Emmanuel Gyamfi has revealed the secret behind their win over Real Tamale United in the Ghana Premier League.
The two-time Ghana Premier League winners traveled to Tamale last Sunday to beat the Pride of the North 3-1 in the week 7 clash played at the Aliu Mahama Stadium.
Abdul Shakur Lukman scored for RTU in the 25th minute, but Aduana Stars rallied with a brace from Emmanuel Gyamfi and another from Isaac Mintah, who added the third goal to secure a crucial win for Aduana Stars.
Having drew and suffered defeat in their last two games, the former Kotoko winger says his side intended to win in order to pay them back.
“It was a wonderful. I will give glory to God for this victory. We knew definitely we would pick the three maximum points against RTU but I didn’t know there would be goals like this”
“I’m in my third season at Aduana Stars, in my first season we drew with RTU and lost last season so we wanted to pay them back just as we did today” he said after the game.
Aduana Stars will host Bofoakwa Tano in the week eight clash on Wednesday at the Nana Agyemang Badu Park.
The fire boys are second on the Ghana Premier League table with 12 points after seven games so far.
