Mohamed Fuseini has expressed his delight after scoring the winning goal for Royale Union Saint-Gilloise in their dramatic Belgian Croky Cup final victory over Anderlecht on Thursday night.
The Ghanaian forward emerged as the hero in the highly anticipated Brussels derby after finding the net in extra time to inspire Union SG to a thrilling 3-1 triumph at the Lotto Park.
Fuseini, who came on as a substitute, delivered the decisive moment in the 95th minute to restore his side’s lead before Kevin Rodriguez sealed the victory moments later.
Reacting after the game, the former Ghana youth international admitted he was initially disappointed after starting the match from the bench, but remained focused on helping the team when called upon.
