Black Starlets head coach Prosper Ogum Narteh has assured fans that Ghana will present a transformed side when they face Cote d’Ivoire in the final of the ongoing WAFU B U-17 Cup of Nations.
The highly anticipated clash will be a repeat of the group stage encounter at the Charles Konan Banny Stadium, where the hosts handed Ghana a heavy 3-0 defeat.
The Starlets booked their spot in the final after edging out rivals Nigeria on Tuesday evening, while Cote d’Ivoire advanced earlier in the day with a convincing win over Burkina Faso.
Speaking after the victory over Nigeria, Ogum admitted lessons had been learned from the earlier loss and stressed that Ghana would adopt a fresh tactical and mental approach for the final.
“It will be a different Ghana; our structure will be different, our mentality and our character will also be different. They defeated us in the group stage,” Ogum said.
“Fortunately, we have already played them, so we know what to do. We will go back and prepare ourselves in terms of mentality, character, and focus on the pitch. Tactically, we also have to re-strategise to ensure we match them boot for boot.”
