Italian-Ghanaian forward Enoch Owusu delivered the decisive blow as St Gallen edged FC Vaduz 3-2 in a lively Super League clash in Liechtenstein.
The visitors struck first through Aliou Balde in the opening minute, but Vaduz hit back and briefly led after Juan Cabrera’s close-range finish, before Owusu changed the game late on.
The 21-year-old came off the bench and immediately made an impact, pulling St Gallen level with a fine finish from distance in the 72nd minute.
He then struck again in the 87th minute, curling a right-footed effort into the bottom corner to seal all three points for the away side. It was a sharp reminder of his attacking instinct and composure in the final third.
St Gallen will now quickly turn their attention to Europe, where they face FC Sheriff in UEFA Conference League qualification on August 6. The result gives them momentum at the right time, while Owusu’s brace could boost his case for a bigger role in the days ahead.
