Bundesliga Returnees Werder Bremen Boss Clemens Fritz says it’s a pity Ghanaian playmaker Daniel Kofi Kyereh chose a different path after snubbing the club.
On Friday it was already clear that Werder didn’t have the best chances in signing Ghana’s Daniel-Kofi Kyereh from FC St. Pauli.
Professional boss Clemens Fritz: “We have dealt with him intensively. But that’s over for us now. We would have loved to do that, but the player chose a different path.”
Werder Bremen were keen to sign to sign the Ghanaian international who bagged 13 goals and provided nine assists for the Boys in Brown last season.
The Green and Whites wanted the playmaker to primarily strengthen their attack, mainly playing behind the strikers but also as an alternative to Marvin Ducksch (28) as a creative part alongside Niclas Füllkrug (29).
Unfortunately, the Ghanaian has opted to join UEFA Europa League side SC Freiburg ahead of the 2022-23 Bundesliga season.
