CF Montreal forward Prince Osei Owusu has shared his excitement after making his first appearance for the Black Stars.

The 28-year-old striker made cameo appearance as the Black Stars succumbed to a 2-0 defeat to Japan in a high-profile friendly match, held at the Toyota Stadium last Thursday.

However, Prince Owusu has taken to social media expressing pride after making his Black Stars debut. He stressed that representing Ghana is something that he will never take for granted.

Prince Osei Owusu, CF Montreal

“Yesterday, I had the incredible honor of making my debut for the Ghana national team. It’s a moment I will carry with me forever”

“I want to express my deepest gratitude to everyone who has supported me on this journey – my family, coaches, teammates, friends, and all the fans who have believed in me”

“Representing the homeland of my parents fills me with immense pride, and wearing the Ghanaian colors is a privilege I will never take for granted”

The Black Stars will take on South Korea in their secondly friendly match, scheduled for Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
