Ghanaian winger born in France, Stredair Appuah is on cloud nine after signing his first ever professional contract with French Ligue 1 side FC Nantes.
The 19-year-old has been given a three year contract at the club after his exploits in his five senior appearances at the club in tough times, helping the team escape relegation.
The youngster, who turn 19 today, June 27,2023 expressed his profound gratitude and excitement after he was offered a contract by the Yellow and Green outfit.
“It’s a source of great pride for me and my family. This professional contract is the reward for the work done throughout this season. It has been a complicated but very rewarding season.”
“I started with the U19 Nationals , before moving on to National 2 and then finishing with the professional group. For me, it’s a lot of emotions and pride to sign as a professional at FC Nantes. I also had the chance to know the twelfth man at La Beaujoire for my debut and it was extraordinary.”
“It’s the beginning of a long road under this yellow and green jersey! I’m also very happy to be able to evolve under the orders of coach Aristouy, whom I know well We have a very good relationship and he was always there to tell me what I needed to work on.”
He featured in five matches including the last three games of the season which was very crucial to the team’s survival in the French top-flight.
