In a positive development for SC Freiburg, coach Christian Streich has offered an update on the recovery progress of Daniel-Kofi Kyereh.
The attacking player, who suffered a severe cruciate ligament injury approximately nine months ago, is making notable improvements.
However, Streich refrained from providing a specific timeline for Kyereh’s return to training, highlighting the importance of a cautious approach in the rehabilitation process.
According to head coach Christian Streich, the 27-year-old is currently involved in running training.
“It’s looking better now,” Streich mentioned. “We can see that he no longer experiences any issues while running.”
“I can’t make any predictions,” Streich added.
Kyereh signed a contract with Bundesliga club SC Freiburg on June 27, 2022. On October 1, 2022, he scored his first competitive goal for Freiburg in a league match against Mainz.
Five days later, he scored his first goal in European football, contributing to a 2-0 victory over FC Nantes in the Europa League group stage.
