Jalel Kadri names Tunisia’s 27-man squad for AFCON 2023

Tunisia head coach Jalel Kadei has revealed his final 27-man squad for the imminent AFCON 2023.

The squad is headlined by Al Ahly Cairo defender Ali Maaloul, Yassine Meriah of Eaperance and Montassir Talbi of Lorient in defence.

Mohammed Ali Ben Romdhane of  Ferencvarosi and Aissa Laidouni of Union Berlin are all included.

Al-Arabi winger, Youssef Msakni, Copenhagen forward  Elias Achouri and Al-Ahli winger Naim Sliti are all included in the squad.

Manchester United’s young midfielder Hannibal Mejbri misses out after informing Jalel Kadri that he is in a difficult moment at Manchester United as he is struggling to get more minutes.

Tunisia is in Group E alongside Mali, Namibia and South Africa

Bechir Ben Said – US Monastir

Hamza Jelassi – Etoile du Sahel
Yassine Meriah – Esperance

Montassir Talbi – Lorient

Oussam Haddadi – Greuther Fürth
