English-born defender of Ghanaian descent, Jarell Quansah, scored his maiden goal in the Premier League in Liverpool’s game against Aston Villa on Monday night.
The centre-back scored Liverpool’s third goal of the fixture as they failed to pick up all three points at the Villa Park.
Liverpool opened the scoring after just two minutes played when Luiz Diaz’s effort was fumbled by Emiliano Martinez who put the ball in his own net.
However, the home side responded immediately as Youri Tielemans drew them level 10 minutes later with an Ollie Watkins assist.
The Reds restored their lead halfway through the half as Cody Gakpo got on the scoresheet.
Quansah then extended the lead to two after scoring minutes into the second half.
His goal saw him become the 24th Liverpool player to score their first Premier League goal under Jurgen Klopp.
However, Liverpool surrendered their lead in the latter part of the game with Villa scoring two late goals to tie the game.
