Ghana-born Belgian, Jeremy Doku scored for Stade de Rennes in their emphatic win over Brest on Thursday evening.
The attacker scored the third goal of the match to put the hosts 3-1 in the mid-season game against fellow French Ligue 1 side.
In-form Martin Terrier scored the opening goal of the match to put Rennes in the lead midway through the opening half of the match.
Romain Del Castillo grabbed the equalizer for the Red and Whites outfit three mintues after the hour mark but Terrier scored again seven minutes later to restore the Red and Blacks lead.
Doku added the icing on the cake goal for Rennes deep into additional time period of the match to make it 3-1 at the end of the match.
