Ghanaian forward Jesurun Rak-Sakyi continued his fine form in the English Championship by finding the back of the net in Sheffield United’s clash against Plymouth Argyle.
The 22-year-old, currently on loan from Crystal Palace, broke the deadlock just before halftime with a brilliant curling effort after being set up by teammate Gustavo Hamer.
Despite taking the lead, Sheffield United were unable to hold on, as a late collapse saw them concede twice in the final ten minutes. Goals from Ryan Hardie and Mohamed Tijani turned the game in Plymouth’s favour, sealing a comeback win for the hosts.
Rak-Sakyi’s strike marked his seventh goal of the season, underlining his importance to Sheffield United’s push for promotion back to the Premier League.
A regular for England at youth level, Rak-Sakyi has also attracted the attention of the Ghana Football Association, who are eager to see the talented winger switch allegiance and represent the Black Stars.
He is expected to return to Crystal Palace at the end of the current campaign when his loan spell concludes.
