Ghana’s Black Queens forward Evelyn Badu expressed her excitement following the team’s wonderful outing at the Kigali Pele Stadium in Rwanda.
The former Sekondi Hasaacas Ladies FC striker bagged a brace for Ghana’s senior female national team on Wednesday after away from home.
She couldn’t hide her excitement as she took to Twitter to expresse how delighted she is after getting the job done on the road ahead of the second leg.

Ghana’s Black Queens produced a wonderful performance with anoverwhelming 7-0 victory over Rwanda in the first leg of the 2024 Women’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier (WAFCON) at the Kigali Pele Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.
Nora Häuptle’s ladies gave a ten out of ten performance on the day on the road against the Rwandans team who couldn’t stop the might of Ghana.
Ghana were too strong for their opponents on the day as they ran riot against the minnows to gain a huge advantage going into the second leg.
Just few minutes after kickoff, Ghana took the lead through in-form forward Doris Boaduwaa who was brimming in confidence before the game.
Former Black Princesses captain Evelyn Badu found the back of the net to make it 2-0 under 10 minutes.
Priscilla Adubea got Ghana’s third goal of the match to add to the tally with a header.
Just after the break, Alice Kusi got her name on the score sheet for the away team to make it 3-0 to the Queens.
Four minutes after the hour mark of the one-sided game, Evelyn Badu grabbed her second goal of the match to put Ghana in a 4-0 lead.
The Queens eventually won the game with a resounding 7-0 victory.
