Ghana’s Goalie, Joseph Luke Wollacott has revealed the one goalkeeper who inspired him growing up as a young shot stopper in England.
The Ghanaian international says former Manchester City player Joe’s Hart was one goalkeeper he looked up to growing up in England.
In an interview with Accra-based Happy FM, the 26-year-old Ghanaian made this revelation after winning the 2022 League Two best goalkeeper of the year.
“As a goalkeeper growing up in the UK I use to watch Joe Hart of Manchester City and he is my role model”, he told happy FM.
Wollacott has been Ghana’s number one goalkeeper since the appointment of former Ghana Coach Milovan Rejavac and was in goal at the Africa Cup of Nations tournament in Cameroon.
Wollacott also kept the post when Black Stars played against the Super Eagles of Nigeria in the 2022 World Cup playoff.
