Columbus Crew defender Jonathan Mensah has been nominated for Footballer of the Year, foreign category at the upcoming Sports Writers’ Association Ghana awards which comes off on 28th January, 2023.
Mensah failed to make Ghana’s final squad for the 2022 World Cup but was instrumental at club level, leading his team to success.
He was nominated alongside huge favorite Mohammed Kudus and Leicester City’s Daniel Amartey.
Mensah featured for the Black Stars in the 2010 and 2014 World Cup tournaments.
